Read information about the authorSusan earned degrees in Psychology and Special Education at the University of Utah and spent many years as a teacher and case manager working with children and adults with disabilities. Susan became disabled herself with a rare metabolic disorder called Periodic Paralysis and is now the co-founder of the Periodic Paralysis Network an independent advocacy organization. She has written four books: "Sotos Syndrome: A Tribute to Sandy," "Living With Periodic Paralysis: The Mystery Unraveled" and "The Periodic Paralysis Guide And Workbook: Be The Best You Can Be Naturally," "A Bill Of Rights For Patients With Periodic Paralysis," "What Is Periodic Paralysis?: A Disease Like No Other" and has co-authored "Moments in Time: At Home in the Woods" with her husband Calvin Hunter.
Susan, mother of four children and grandmother to five, enjoys the forest and wildlife at her new home on the Olympic Peninsula in the North West. She is presently writing her next book and continues to work daily to help others.
